Others from Machen not recorded on the War Memorial

In addition to those listed on the Machen Memorial the various records, Church Rolls of Honour, Soldiers Died etc., mention others who have obvious links with Machen who are not commemorated on the village Memorial. In some cases the link with Machen is more obvious than for a number of those who appear on the Memorial. To date it has been impossible to find records of criteria used to decide who was or was not to be included.
